A “excessive-altitude object” became shot down over Alaska earlier on Friday, the White Home has stated.
Spokesman John Kirby stated the unmanned object became “the scale of a diminutive automobile” and became over a carefully populated space at the time.
President Joe Biden took the resolution to shoot down the thing, which became of unknown origin, Mr Kirby stated.
It comes after the US shot down a Chinese language balloon over its territorial waters final Saturday.
